M-Tron Midi Channels

M-Tron Midi Channels

2007-11-22 by john barrick

Hi all - here are the channel assignments that I had worked out for M-tron.

The pitch assignment is Channel 95 (which is not the standard midi pitch
wheel channel - think that one is PW)
volume is channel 7
tone is channel 74
Attack is channel 73
Release is channel 72

Hope this is of some help. Unfortunately, this does nothing to improve
the sound of the majority of the samplle sets.

best,
john barrick

not to pick nits, but i think you mean "controller" number - not channel
numbers. [there are only 16 midi channels, but lots of controllers...]

volume is controller 7, unless otherwise assigned on both sending and
receiving device [even if the device is a soft-synth/vsti/dxi/etc]

just to clarify things...

Duh! Yes, you're absolutely correct, Jeff, and thanks for the correction.

I have this irritating habit of renaming things in my mind, and
sometimes it ends up crossing over into what I type. I should have
designated them as CC 95, CC7, CC74, CC73, CC72.
