Mellotron Dimensions

2011-07-19 by Gary Brumm

Can someone please supply me with dimensions for the M400/M4000 (inches)?

I am getting rid of some of my road cases and some may be able to be re-purposed.

I may have a good case for a Mellotron but want to verify suitability to fit.

Thanks,

Gary

I've just done some measuring, and my M400 is 34" (86cm) wide, 23" (57cm) deep at its deepest point, and 32" (81cm) high, including the feet.

I can't comment on an M4000, but my guess (and that's all it is) is that it's the same as an M400 EXCEPT that it's higher. Martin Smith will be in a better position to inform you.

I can't confirm that the weight of an M400 is 55kg (121lbs) - I had to lug my beast SINGLE-HANDEDLY(!) up a total of 19 steps to get it into my bedroom, and it feels a helluva lot more than 121lbs - 181lbs more like!
