As usual, I have a hard time figuring out when you guys are serious or making jokes with
that dry wit that seems to thrive in these groups.

If this isn't a joke, What is a turnbuckle first off? further what's a revolving turnbuckle and
what part of the tape frame are we talking about?

Sorry to be so dense.

I am interested in getting an empty tape frame to rack the old set of tapes as I said in the
earlier threads here.

On the Streetly web site I see tape sound samples but I couldn't find any type of price list
showing what an empty tape frame from you costs and what kind of shipping charges I'd
incur coming from the UK to me here in Wilmington, Massachusetts 01887

Again, since I've tried out a friends set of tapes that came from Markus I know that the
longer tape frames they're making will not fit on the right side of my Mark V due to the
placement/location of the SMS at that bottom of the Mark V case. The longer frame hits
the SMS and can't be properly installed.

Are your frames larger now as well or are they the same dimensions as the originals?

Excellent explanation. I can see how the revolving version would be an improvement in
terms of less wear/chance of sticking on the tapes.

I never knew what to call the "little pulley thingy" at the bottom of the tape frame.

Now all I need to know is how much the empty frames cost and what shipping charges
would be from UK to US.

Thanks Jimmy...does that shipping include anywhere on the globe (Pacific
Islands too).
So, according to my calculations at todays exchange rate (Sun, Jan 13).
I come up with $911.36 for us with US Dollars in our pocket.
And that comes with a rack case too?????????

That's an understatement. I just went from thinking I may be able to
afford a new frame and second set of tapes if a couple of side jobs come
in, to "no fucking way I'm going to slide that by my wife". For the
near future I'm going to have to learn to be happy with 3Violins, Cello,
and 8Choir.
