Vako Orchestron Model C for sale

Vako Orchestron Model C for sale

2011-01-10 by Dieter

Hello y'all

happy newyear!

I am selling my Vako Orchestron, model C. It's in very good shape. Cosmetically it looks very nice, the only issues on that point are that the metal plate on which the serial number is printed, is bent. Also, there has been a cut made in the wood at the back to make more space for putting a jack cable in - but if you wouldn't know there was some extra wood cut away, you would hardly ever see it.

It comes with 10 discs.

I've had it for 18 months but I decided to sell it today. The reason for this is that I am buying something else (also a great musical instrument), which needs to be funded.
The first person who guesses WHAT I'm gonna buy gets two belgian waffles and a pint of Stella in my home-pub "The Drummer" in Ghent. ;-)

Here are two video's of me and the orchestron (featuring a pinguin at the end, don't mind that - internal joke with friends)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhkIOw4TyXE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg7AcNOMHMw

Some things you need to know as well:
- The rear jack output is not working. This is only due to a loose cable and is very easily fixed - but I don't dare soldering it myself as I am too clumsy
- Sometimes, the middle G note is not working. This is also due to a loose cable or bad contact. When this occurs, usually taking the cover off and pushing the cables works.
- Everything else is working fine!

I have not looked into these problems as I am a musician, not a technician, and I'm scared as hell to brake something when I try to repair things.

If you have other questions or you're interested, feel free to PM or mail me.

It's a little bit heartbreaking to sell it but the other thing that I'm buying will be making up for that, I'm sure!
I am putting this message here first, I am going to put it on ebay tomorrow if nobody wants to make a nice deal.

cheers

Oh, and just for the record:

So the rear jack out is not working, the front does. It's the same signal so yep, you'll get sound when you plug it in.
