M4000D Youtubes

off topic

2011-01-07 by fdoddy@aol.com

Folks,

Does anyone have any experience with mobile app development? Any insight on any aspect of the process would be greatly appreciated. I am working on a personal project and need to "get smart" in this area.

Please respond off list.

Thanks in advance,

fritz

Anyone know what 100 sounds come on the cartridge? And what do they mean by cartridge anyway .. compact flash?

Just curious, I've been meaning to mail Markus for more details (if there are any .. that whole website leaves something to be desired). I've considered getting a Nord for the 'tron lead samples, but it would be nice to have the mixing and pitch bending.

I really hope that the flute is on the machine. I like Mellotron flute. And maybe a choir sound.

Best regards,

Mattias

I dont get it with you Frank. Stop hating the flute, it is a classic sound. The Beatles used it on Penny Lane and you didnt complain about that did you ?

Why is it always OBOE OBOE OBOE with you ?

    You are such a b-hole.

8 track cartridge mebbe? ;-) Using DAT technology rather than analogue? Now, there's an innovation!

Mellotron flute is for pansies, Mattias, which is why it seems prevalent in your music. I, for one, am a proponent of the manly Cello and mixed brass. Oboe's OK, but only the lower half of the keyboard. I like the mixed choir, but I stay away from the boys choir, as I am not Catholic.
Everyone knows that when John Lennon was playing the Mellotron Flute it was a secret homage to Brian Epstein.

Lower Oboe ? Mixed brass ?

      Brian Epstein ?

Mellotron history is filled with man love

Clean shaven long haired man with a cape ? Falsetto vocals about mountains and midgets ?

Its like like the old percy sledge song.

...and you have the nerve to question my Mellotron flute usage on my birthday on all days.

Frank...We have had our ups and downs. But I think an apology is in order.

      Best regards,

      From a Fan.

      Mattias,
Wow, when you put it like that it makes me want to throw all my Yes albums away.
In all honesty I cannot remember a day in the last eight years when I didn't admire and respect you on many levels. We have had some scintillating disagreements yet we remain friends. There is one thing above others that a I like you for... Your ability to take a punch and to deliver one in kind while maintaining a sense of humor.
You want an apology? What, are you wearing a dress?
I look forward to seeing you next summer.

the post under the video (in Italian) mentions VST......this guy is on Facebook and I wrote him a message for info on this thing. Maybe this is a one-off instrument similar to Markus' or the Memotron.
I can see no online refernces anywhere else about the Crumar unit.

I read about the VST so maybe it’s just a MIDI controller but I can’t find any other reference to it.

I thank the appreciation. The instrument is unique in that it was built by Crumar on my instructions and is based Vst. I agree with you that it is much more practical with a laptop and host VST plug in, but the eye wants its part, so I opted for a full hardware version that would satisfy the need. He plays very well and makes a terrible figure on stage. Of course a real Mellotron is another thing but who runs it, is impossible today. Paul
