Squeaky Chair

Can anyone tell me where on the 3 violins recording the infamous 'squeaky chair' appears?

Hell - I thought that was just the violins, Bill. Seriously, Mike, I';ve hunted for it (casually) and have yet to find it.

I'd be interested in finding it. I was interviewed for German radio today and mentioned the supposed presence of this sound to the interviewer who was suddenly interested and thought it would be an amusing thing to play on air. If anyone knows anything about it, please...

Of course I could fake it myself. Add that to a cough in the Mk II brass, a fart in the 8-choir and a woodpecker in the oboe.

Mike

I hear a rattle on #20 D, a rumble on #21 D#, a shuffle on #22 E, and a thump on #23 F.

On an outtake for one of the sounds we did here in Toronto (either French horn or bass clarinet), a fire truck drove right through the middle of the note. For some reason Martin didn't use it. It would have been pretty funny.

There's also a cacked attack on the trumpet sound's top note. That's pretty funny. I can just hear the poor musician saying, "That's it! I'm not trying another." It is a G above high C (trumpet transposition) to be honest.

The high F on 'cello' has the bow being banged against it.
