Ok, now it's time to tell us who you are and where you live. I am Frank
Stickle and I live in Virginia.

So do you own a Mellotron? Would you like to own one? Some people think
samples are great. To me they have their place, but it would be kind of like
riding around on a Suzuki with big stereo speakers blasting out the sound of
a Harley motor and telling everyone you come across that it's just as good
as a real Harley.

How's that for an analogy? Thank you! Thank you very much Ladies and
Gentleman!

Florida blows dog for the most part, I'm from Illinois and moved here in 75 for Universiy.
I have MS and the heat keeps me in constant pain, but I can drive my exotics here year round ans I do not like California at all.
Have had my Mellotron #510 since 75 also.

Hi Andrew - welcome to the forum.
They are a great crowd here, but it can get a little caustic, which I don't find a problem. Most of the forumists (if such a word exists!) are tron owners; I myself own an M400, courtesy of a fellow forumist, and (for the benefit of, and at the suggestion of, messers Dickson & Thompson), I recently bought a Hartke KM60 Keyboard Amp for it. It sounds pretty good, and the 7-band graphic equaliser should help.

Hi Andrew - welcome to the forum.
They are a great crowd here, but it can get a little caustic, which I
don't find a problem. Most of the forumists (if such a word exists!) are tron
owners; I myself own an M400, courtesy of a fellow forumist, and (for the
benefit of, and at the suggestion of, messers Dickson & Thompson), I recently
bought a Hartke KM60 Keyboard Amp for it. It sounds pretty good, and the
7-band graphic equaliser should help.

Ok, now it's time to tell us who you are and where you live. I am Frank
Stickle and I live in Virginia.

So do you own a Mellotron? Would you like to own one? Some people think
samples are great. To me they have their place, but it would be kind of like
riding around on a Suzuki with big stereo speakers blasting out the sound of a
Harley motor and telling everyone you come across that it's just as good as a
real Harley.

How's that for an analogy? Thank you! Thank you very much Ladies and
Gentleman!

Hi Andrew,

Nice to see you on the list. Hope these guys can help you get your M400
into great shape, it feels really good when you clean them up and get them
running smooth. Good luck. TD

Welcome Andrew
I've had my Model 400SM/Ser#M1835 since 2004 courtesy of
Streetly.According to Martin it was built in the late '70's for the South
African BBC under the Novatron name. When Martin rebuilt it for me I had
a Mellotron plate installed.
