I found the one song where Images In Vogue used the four track Mellotron. (borrowed from Strange Advance). Frank was working on this machine recently. What happened Frank? You can hear choir after 2:40.
Gotta love those Simmons Hexagons! If you want to sound like 1985, use that drum sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu4kt6LyCPg
I'm still working on it in my spare time. Thankfully its owner is very
patient (and also is a close friend)

Mellotron four track spotting - Images In Vogue

Oh, is that what they're using? Figures, given that
they were Canada's two main synthpop bands. BTW, Drew Arnott from Strange
Advance wrote to me a few years back to say that the 4-Track was so
unreliable, they recorded with a hired M400. :-)
