Photos? I would love to see photos. As you know, I am a huge Gary Schwartz  
fan () so I an  anxious to see examples of such creative workmanship.

We all thought Gary Schwarz's work on mellotrons was shoddy but we have  an 
M400 in that has been customised by Frank Levi, another Sound Sales  
delinquent.  This chap has made a capstan wiper from the little brass  label 
retainer you find on old filing cabinet doors, fitted strengthening  brackets 
made out of an alloy akin to Plasticine, made a spacer to keep the  belt 
straight out of an old pencil rubber rather than solve the issue, used  cavity 
wall filler to keep the connections on the SMS2 which he mounted so  they would 
fall off and poured solder onto joints from a crucible rather than  using a 
soldering iron.  So our friends in the US, if your mellington  bears the 
sticker of Frank Levi, Keyboard service technician, be very much  afraid.  God 
almighty!
