Very nice work, John. Poplar is a medium density wood but will be fine for
Mellotron feet, especially with the added depth of the toes. Consider installing
some removable, locking casters for added flexibility and height.

Speaking of feet, Frank, here's the new ones I made for 1407. Glued up two blanks from Poplar, cut them with a sabre saw, sanded the shit out of them to get the shape and curves the way I wanted, and rounded them over with my router. They're two inches higher, so they'll help my back out a little.
