Yes you can use Kontakt with Ableton Live. The Kontakt factory library is fairly robust with standard stuff. It'll read and convert Giga format. Every sample library and VI in the world publishes in Kontakt format. It's very stable and generally not buggy at all.

Since Tascam bought GigaStudio then screwed it up and dumped it, I'll be needing to replace it soon. I've been looking at NI Kontakt 4. Does anyone know what the included library is like? Looks like a long list of 3rd party sample libraries. Can I use Kontakt with Ableton Live? I bloody well hope so.
