Good recording Sean.  Nice work on the flute.  My golden ears tell me that it's a Yamaha.  (I'm joking)  Don't worry about getting assistance from computers and samplers.  Wendy Carlos and Tomita used all the tools available at the time.  You can too.

I think you have definitely united disparate musical features within a shared language as opposed to the polystylism of earlier progressive rock!!  Polystylism is not good for the environment.
