Hi, Even though a tape frame change is pretty fast, I think you need to have MK II and choir on the same frame because they are so common. The third is up to you, but I like something with bass next to strings. Just trying to get opinions here. For those of you with more than one violin sound, what are your thoughts on having both MKII and M400 violins? I'm just trying to decide if I should have both types (one each between 2 frames) or just choose one (MKII seems to be prefered) and free up the last bank on the 2nd frame with something else (like oboe). Here's what I'm thinking: 1st frame: Cello MKII violins or M400 violins Flute 2nd frame: 8 choir MKII violins or oboe (or something else?) Brass If one has MKII violins, will he ever need the 400's? Or do you just use the MKII's and dial the tone control back? The tradeoff I see is not being able to blend the brass and choir with a string sound which is certainly a big plus. However, I don't want to waste a bank on a sound I won't use. And that Tangerine Dream oboe is really cool, right? Guide me all you Mellotron Yodas out there.
