Mattias is the real deal. I think when you turn 16 in Sweden, you are
automatically offered a Mellotron. I'm guessing that Mattias has probably had at
least one for the last 16 years or so, maybe much longer, perhaps since his late
teens or early 20s. It is obvious that he cares a great deal for them as can be
evidenced by the zillion videos he has posted on you tube. I was only kidding
about the "Mattias come lately," comment. He is certainly not new to them, and
although he is quite a bit younger than many of us on this list, I would wager
that he has more playing/recording time on them than most of us. If Mattias had
been in music in 1972, he most certainly would have been playing one then... and
he is primarily a drummer (but a talented musician nonetheless ;?)
