If it were my mellotron, I'd talk to Martin Smith (TRONBROS@aol.com) to see if there's anything more you REALLY should know before you drive 500 miles with your instrument in pieces and the case on its back. There are certainly things you should know about what to check before you turn it on at home -- or you could wind up being rather sorry.
