Abandoned screw holes? What does my ex have to do with this?

Hi all-

My #1221 has " M 400 " stamped on the label, but no other letters. Judging from the abandoned screw holes, it looks like it had a CMC10 at day one, but now has a SMS-3.

According to the DK manual, there's an A, B, C, D, S, SM (mine), the
T550, and Novatron 400.
