Get one of those turnaround screw extractors. One side in a drill or adjustable torque scre cuts a cone sort of shape in the screwtop and the other side cuts threads in the screw andextracts it at the same time. Every hardware/DIY has them.

i just can't get one to budhge, and now the screwtop is starting
to get worn down, so the scrwdriver does not sit tightly... and
it's getting worse...
