I personally played Patrick's triple
Orchestron at the Vako facility in St. Pete many years ago and the problem was
obvious to everyone involved.
Much like the Mellotron it could be
worked around by simply lifting the key as in a tape rewind and press down on it
again without much trauma, but unfortunately that was not enough to save the
instrument.
Talking with Patrick about this very
problem, he was very frustrated with it and had sunk a lot of money into
it.
Still it was an interesting experience
all around between Patrick and Dave.
