THAT'S IT! Thanks a million Norman, it's really unusual for me to not be able to ID an automobile. This was in an early 60's fictional film about racing in Great Britain, and it clearly looked like a high-end vehicle, which would have fit in with the character's wealth, but the best guess I could come up with was a Jensen of some sort that I had never seen.
