Haven't had them tested in a while, but my uncorrupted hearing extends to almost 20khz..no kidding. No accounting for taste though or what my wife thinks is an apparent lack of interest or focus in what I'm listening to at any given moment :)
They're not "golden", but I'm a pretty good mixer...

I don't think playing sounds that were sampled from a MkII through an M400 will sound like they are played through a MkII because the M400 electronics will color the sound. Playing them digitally should work though.
