The Mellotron Group

Hey John-
   Friends used to play Heep's other stuff, but I never had any of their other albums.  Again, good solid-beat early 70's rock.  However, I just checked Mellotron Planet and found that, when given the chance, they infused quite a bit of mellotron into their tunes.  The early album "Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble" had flutes on "Come Away Melinda", combining prog with anti-war thoughts.  It's worth a youtube check.
   Still, "Demons and Wizards" needs some synth and 'tron in it.

Bruce, when I think of Uriah Heep, the only two things I think of are that cover and Easy Livin'.  I agree, the writer of the article seems to have a somewhat nebulous grasp of "prog".
