The Mark II 3 Violin sounds that Pinder achieved was due to the high end roll-off the solid state amp gave him. Pinder has spoken several times about changing the amp in his tron
to achieve this sound. I don't believe it was totally Tony Clark's mastery that achieved this sound as you can hear it even in the raw YouTube live clips, like this one:
