Yes the violins did sound "different" IMO to what we now know as the Mk2 violins.There was also my personal favourites Mixed Brass B which was "nasty"!A

The MK II flutes and violins were re-equed for the M400.Most are MK II sounds but there are special recordings for the 400 like cello and choir that were not in the MK II.Someone has a complete list somewhere! Don't remember who.
