Interesting you bring that up. Mel and I are composing a Halloween
soundtrack. Lots of half-speed bass clarinet and half speed vibes and such. We're
gonna slow the Russian Choir waaaay down and run it though a plate reverb
so that it will sound like wailing from Hell. Mel will have all of his props
out including his Rick Wakeman head... the head in the jar, etc. I refuse
to let him wear the little Sombrero, though, but I am going to help him
animate his puppet for the occasion. We're dressing his Chihuahua like a little
vampire. It will be the first time we will allow Mel on the first floor of
our home. Usually he stays in the basement or outside.

Mel knows he will only be allowed to sing. No talking and for God's sake,
no booze! I can't risk being embarrassed in front of the neighbors.

Luckily they didn't decide to name it the Hallotron, Frank.

Mel named himself. We keep him in a closet in the cellar, but now that he
has a puppet he seems OK with it.

The first time I saw it mentioned was on Ken's site, but either I misread,
or it was mis-typed as Shararyah, and I remember thinking what an awkward
name.

Frank told me he named it. I can't remember how he came up with the name
but it meant something to him. I think it was the name of a former
girlfriend.

If I understand right, Jerry Korb named the unit that during restoration.
I googled it and it comes up as a single release by a Christian music
singer, and as an obscure women's name.
