Formica doesn't shrink. More likely, the plywood underneath absorbed  
moisture unevenly with the exposed ply layer absorbing the most.

The odder part is that it's posted on the Dutch eBay site...
Nice shots  of the machine with the keyboard out of the way.
The top is probably bowed  - the top on my M2 is slightlybowed - I suspect 
that shrinkage of the formica  at a greater rate that the plywood pulls the 
plywood into the bowed position.  Wish there was something to 'relax' it, 
but I hesitate to  experiment.
