Well, we need to carry the Mellotron "table" and "bar" concept to the next level (see attatchment) -Bruce D. --- On Thu, 5/26/11, Rick Blechta <rick@rickblechta.com> wrote: From: Rick Blechta <rick@rickblechta.com> Subject: Re: [newmellotrongroup] A little film from the Anima Morte sessions. AARRRGG! -Bruce D. Actually, Bruce, Mellotrons were originally worktables. (Ask John Bradley) One day someone at Streetly got bored and decided to put a keyboard underneath their worktable so he would be something to do when work got a bit slow. Suddenly Streely's management team (all Bradleys) realized the worker was on to Something Big. Taking the prototype down to the pub, they discovered it made a great bar table (room for lots of pints) AND it could be used for sing-a-longs like they used to have in Ye Olde Days. And viola! Mellotrons were born. Mattias is just carrying this tradition on in a thoroughly Swedish fashion. S'truth!
