A good source for nylon screws is hobby shops, purveyors of RC planes,
specifically. I picked up a 4-pak of SIG #SH-172 nylon wing bolts (4-40 x1
in.)
for 75 cents. Notice the "wing" part refers to its use w/ a model plane,
they
have slotted heads. I also grabbed 2 8-paks of DU-BRO #635 4-40 nylon flat
washers, they're 1/16 in. thick, stack 4 on each screw for a 1/4 in. spacer.
I
found a stash of fiber (fibre to our UK friends) thread 4-40 locknuts in ye
olde junque boxe to finish it off. Hope this helps.

All kinds of cool stuff in the R/C dept. of a hobby shop. Flip through a
catalog and let your imagination do the rest.
