NAMM, anyone?

NAMM, anyone?

2000-12-14 by Paul Schreiber

I will be at NAMM the weekend of Jan. 19-21. It looks like I didn't get a
booth, but I did get
free badges to get in. It's in the Anaheim Convention Center (across from
Disneyland). I'm
staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Santa Anna (about 5 miles away).

If some of you would like to get together, just let me know (BTW the room
rates where I'm staying
are dirt-dog cheap, like $59/night which is a great price!).

I'll be there, as will many many folks from Analogue Heaven.
Details are at www.namm2001.com.

Is this message from Paul (I assume)? I didn't get the original message (talk
about lost messages).

I'm about an hour (or so) drive from beautiful Anaheim and would enjoy having
some vegetarian pizza and Dr. Pepper if your available -- no plans to go to
NAMM at the moment.

OT: Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too?

So, Paul's a DP addict like me. Figures, given your location. You of
course realize that you are about an hour from the oldest Dr. Pepper
plant on the world, that they still bottle it in 12 oz. bottles
instead of cans (which ruin the delicate bouquet), that they still
use the original formula with cane sugar instead of corn syrup...

I had a collegue who was working onsite at Lockheed in Dallas drive
down there specifically to bring me back a case. I was beside myself
with excitement waiting for it. By the time he got it on the plane
and back to me, it was horribly flat. I was suicidal!

Moe (I can quit anytime too.)

Being a vegetarian since 73 (with no ill effects resulting in prolonged loss
of liberty or mandatory observation) I feel quite assured in expressing my
open generosity to any Texan (or possibly Indiana as well) to a vegetarian
meal -- hey, you can't say I didn't offer!

I will be at NAMM and would love to attend an MOTM get-together (assuming I
don't have any prior work-related committments). And vegi-food is fine with
me, or we can have a revolt and head over to Tony Roma's for ribs... <G>

Some good sushi in the area too!

Please let me know what's happening, whomever is organizing this.

Thanks!

Ivan

You didn't miss much. The Dublin, TX DPs are horribly sweet. They are for
folks that like
to put 2 cups of sugar in a glass of tea, with a 1 inch layer of undissolved
sugar in the
bottom of the glass. Barf!

What I miss are the 8oz Cokes from the '60s. My dad had a mechanical Coke
machine that was set on
34F. I worked summers in the warehouse. I drank about 3 an hour. Wonderful
stuff.

No, everyone get back on topic. MOTM topic, that is.

'Cause when you're dead and buried with embalmed arteries clogged with gunk,
I'll still be merrily patching my MOTM.

And if your survivors post details of your estate sale to the list, I may be
patching your MOTM too!

<snicker right back at ya!>

:)

David,

who gets plenty of protein without eating meat, thank you very much.
