SKB Idiot

What is the trick to smoothly closing the SKB pop-up case? There are 2
rachets on each side, that 'click'
into each postion as you open/close. Open is easy, but closing is a bitch!

Closing is easy...you have to fully extend the case and then it releases and
will fall all the way closed.

The SKB rails need to be extended all the way out before they will retract smoothly, so pull the frame up all the way, then it will ride down smoothly.

Closing is MUCH EASIER than closing if you know the trick.

MOTM was built for this case right Paul?

When closing, open all the way past all of the rachets (This can be done
extemely fast to impress the trainspotters and the ladies!). It will fall
right down after that (but lowering it by hand is much preferred). It
couldn't be easier. I guess you have a masters in EE and not ME, right?

Have fun!
