Gino,
            Welcome to the list from another guy that remembers those
"banana-vs-jacks" discussions very well.  I have only one question for you:
If you were able to give your wife back that space in your house, where did
you put all YOUR stuff.  :)

Hello,

I am new to the MOTM community.  I have been aware of MOTM since before
the first module shiipped, around the time of the phone plug or banana
survey.  At first I was merely looking to add modules to one of my Moogs
but I have since decided to go a bit further and make up a processing
panel to interconnect amoung my various instruments.

In my current incarnation I am a recording engineer  for a government
agency and do some sound design for a weird collection of clients.  I
have been building stuff for a while but have only had real success
recently with Oakley, Evenfall and EFM boards.  I made a deal with my
wife that I would only be able to build from a full kit (MOTM) when she
got back at least 50% of the space in her home. Now, after three years I
may have shocked her and Paul by actually placing an order after years
of dumb questions.

Now you know more about me than you really want to. I look foward to
learning much from you all.

I am honored to be stooged so soon after joining.  As to your question:
I wouldn't be here if I hadn't given the wife back the space in our
house (originally her's).  My stuff went into cases and on clever space
utilizing fixtures, on it's sides up the walls, into plastic and up on
rafters, out on long term loan, to work, alittle out on lease rental and
some for sale. I'm probably the last person to sell anything EMS for
less than a thousand bucks.  Sister's and sister in law's kids too.  I
really had to get clever about setting up and storing my gear.  I
thought a Mellotron was furniture and that a Rhodes was ok as the family
piano.  Turns out the answer is no.  It turns out that hanging guitars
on the wall is not such a good idea either and keeping a small amp in
the living room is not illegal but...
