RE: [motm] Ms. Carlos did not invent this, Ha!

"Ha"? "Give the date"? I wasn't trying to make a patent declaration on Carlos' behalf, simply directing those interested to a similar, existing device recently used on a high-profile electronic music album for research purposes. Lets face it, the broad concept of using a potentiometer to control the pitch of a synthesizer sound... well, it's not exactly a novel concept, is it? Tuning knobs? Pitch bend wheels...?

---Original Message--- You don't give the date Ms. Carlos recorded this.. As memory serves Craig Anderton published the plans for this exact same style controller in electronotes back in 72 or 73? He even manufactured and sold same for several years by his company "Royal Union Electronics"? Anyone with sets of old electronotes should be able to dig the plans ecet out..I don't remember what he called his units..I do think they did have built in vco's I do know they had at least a couple push buttons for gate/triggering.
