The book is out of print from the publisher AFAIK. I even sent e-mail to
A. Strange at the University where he now teaches. I got no response from
him. However, I think you can still get it directly from Rex at Serge. I
purchased it from him. It is a very well made bound photocopy. I was a
little disappointed in some of the illustrations since they were a couple
of copy generations old. But, in general, the book is very readable and
well worth the price.

Forget trying to send e-mail. I tried for 2 weeks and had no luck.
However, I called him on the phone and got what I wanted in 5 minutes.
Sorry, I have misplaced the phone number. Anyone else have it?

I didn't know that Rex stocked photocopies of this book. I'll have to get one
sometime. At least it has a hope of being less expensive than trying to get one
from an auction!

The book is a reprint from McGraw-Hill. ISBN #0-697-38800-X. It is about
$60.

WARNING: in some places, the font on figures is so small and blurry you
really can't read it.
But the text of the chapters is fine. It looks like a copy of a copy of a
copy.

I "think I remember" paying about $25 for the one I got from Rex. I do
remember that he mailed it out the day I called just on my word that I
would send a check. And, I had never spoken to him before in my life.

I received this book a few months ago from amazon.com
(not amazon.de). They found me a used one. Took them
one year to find it, and another few months to ship it to
Germany. So that kind of service does work, but only
for the patient. Actually, I had completely forgotten
about the order, and I had long quit buying from amazon
US since they have a German divison. Then they sent me
a mail if I still want it, and yes I wanted. Nice book.
