I use 3m "Super 77," The Big Blue Can.

Coats: about 380 (sic), holding the can high up to allow the droplets to
slightly dry and "orange peel" on the surface.

many coats of satin polyurethane are you applying?

Panel Label Adhesive/M-181 Keyboard template

Hi All!

I have a one space Corel template designed to incorporate your Roland M-18*
Keyboards if you would like me to send it. It has a 6-pin DIN, CV, Gate and
Trigger outs with 2 sets of 4 multis with a switch to make them CV and Gate
x 4 Jacks each or to leave them independant.

I also have a template designed for a CEM3320 2-Space filter similar to the
440 VCF if anybody wants it.

What type of adhesive are the DIY panel label guys using again? My old mail
were erased by Hotmail! I have my lables printed on photo paper and I am
concerned about the corner areas of the panel. How many coats of satin
polyurethane are you applying?

Thanks for the info again and please let me know if you want templates! I
can maybe even print one out and mail it with an actual panel label and the
drilling template.

I used the Duro spray on adhesive in the blue can.

I used regular paper. How did the photo paper turn out? Do you think the
photo paper is porous enough for the urethane to soak into. If it just
sits on the surface it will:
1 be too shiny
2 scrape off easily.

The edges and corners are areas of concern. What I did after I glued the
panel on was trim it back as tight as possible with an exacto knife to
prevent any overhand that could catch on anything and start a peeling
process. After the exacto knife, I found that the edge was a little
"white". I used a permanent marker to color the edge back to black.

Several. The trick to a nice satin and splattered type look is to put on
several VERY light coats. I sprayed the panels from about 3 foot away
almost misting the paper. If you "coat" it on like normal spray paint, it
will be too glossy. I did all the things they tell you NOT to do with
spray paint. Start and stop the nozzle over the work, etc.
