Lemme guess --- The drummer won't play with a click track from the
sequencer but has begrudgingly agreed to follow the blinking LED for tempo.
 

Actually, I saw this really cool thing in a catalog once and should have
bought one 'cause I have never seen it since.  It was an array of LEDs.  It
was small and clipped onto a mic stand to be used facing the drummer (or
whomever) and not the audience.  It had MIDI IN and the LEDs showed a
moving pattern like the end of a directors baton.
