Yeah Steve,

I REALLY like that Paul is listing the color code for the resistors (although 
I just use a DMM for the 1% -- too much hassle). You're right about the typo 
in the 320, I think Paul may have posted this to the list when the module 
came out. 

You are also right about 2.2K being red-red-red. So red = 2 and black = 0. 
With 5% resistors for red-red-red you get, 2.2 with times two orders of ten 
-- or 2200. With red-black-red (hard to tell orange from red sometimes) you 
get 2.0 times two orders of ten -- or 2K.

Still changing my MOTM from  banana to 1/4."

Just wiggle the lead.  If it's stiff it's soldered.  If it moves
it's not.

When I had like two MOTM modules (two years ago!) and like 20+ banana modules 
(plus a bunch of mini phone to banana cords for my ARP) this seemed quite 
reasonable!

John (farsighted -- who's been wearing glasses since age three, and now wears 
two pair of glasses at the same time in order to hold the resistor about five 
inches from  my face so I can.....easily see the color code -- try it, you'll

Hi All !

A well soldered lead should give a nice ping when played like a thumb 
piano .  An unsoldered one does not .  Go on, try it ;-)
