This is a joint Paul S./Old Crow development, using not 1 but 2 PIC
microprocessors. There
are mechanical issues to be resolved, but the circuit is in beta test this
month.

And, you can run audio into it. The outputs are "CMOS" levels, ie 0 to +5V
as driven
by a 74HC244 buffer. So there will be a volume drop as compared to
standard -5 to +5 audio.

This is the *plan*. However, I need thouse of you with Roland drum stuff
(303/808/505/606/blah blah)
to look in the manuals and see if Roland states what they expect CLOCK IN to
be. If is a
higher voltage, I'll have to buffer things differently.

Features/panel shots in about 10 days. As a teaser, it contains visual
indication means.

I hate to beg but I've been putting off buying modules because a
large part of what I want to do is based around what you described
this one would do. Should I just abandon all hope? I'd like to know
one way or the other so I can move on with my life.

OK maybe I'm a little obsessed...

Does anyone have any word on the status of this module?

The basic R&D breadboard is working. Part of the delay was finding suitable red LED displays and
matching bezels that are the correct size and has proper mounting to the panel (stuff like this
is 90% of "module design", not circuits). Also, it was worried about how to mount/wire 17 jacks
to the front panel (will now use the uSeq method).

I found a source (again used in the uSeq), so it's in the seemingly infinite R&D backlog.
However, it's on the 'get it ready before NAMM' schedule, which translates into Oct for final
release.

Maybe it was this module and not the dual VCA/VC Panner/ VC Crossfader which I was most looking forward too .

So is the panel design pretty much the same as the one that surfaced "a while" ago (i.e., the one Shemp posts occasionally)?

Yes, it's took quite an effort to track the LEDs/Bezels down. Mechanical work is not my forte,
and it takes a long while to make sure everything "lines up". Wait until you see how the uSeq
goes together, that felt like a senior M.E. project.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
