Hey heres my bio stuff. Steve Maietta live in Northern NJ I'm 21 going to school for Graphic design / Industrial design (I want to build/design/dream up/test/eat/look-at/synths some day as my job (someone get me an interenship!)) I eat everything I like to sleep MOTM so far.. Powersupply/patchpanel. 410 filter and 100 SH coming in a week or so (paul?) Other stuff : Built- Gene Stopp's ASM synth, Paia vocoder,MAP analog delay, Blacet frequency divider, JKJ CV-4 MIDI/CV. Some of Tom G's CAM circuts... Bought- Casio SK-1 (brought it to life with massive circut bending) Juno-6 (my first analog) Kawai K5000s (nice as hell) Korg Prophecy (just got it, sounds nice, will make a nice controller with its cool modulation wheels and ribbon) Boss DR660, FR-777 (in about 3 days now).. Other assorted small funky gear.. I'm more of a tech guy than a musician, but like to make little tunes of course. Modular stuff has always been in my dreams. I am thinking of selling my K5000 to finance a few 300 vco's... Hmmm.. any opinions on this? Oh yeah.. I had a SIDStation. Traded it for the prophecy. It was a very cool little box. I guess me erasing all the presets within the first hour of getting it kind of forced me to dig into the programming which is very easy and quick. It does make some cool sounds, no doubt. How it would crash every 5 minutes though just got to me.. It once crashed hard and locked up, erasing everything I did with it in the past 3 months. All of my long developed patches - gone! I sold her... I like synth music from all generations. Walter Sear copperplated integrated circut kind of Moog novelty stuff from the early era, to tangerine dream modular live sickness, to Keith emersons sick Moog/Yamaha/organ chops, to Tomita/Carlos multitracked modular stuff, to chick corea, george duke, jan hammer soloing monophonicity, to some of the new dance dub breakbeats I dont know what its called groove chillout jazzy stuff I love jazz and Reggae Ween rules ~Steve (Revtor)
