RE: Frequency Shifter

I'm gonna have to get my hands on some Electronotes. I've been hearing about
them for years but have never seen a copy.

So what I need is another Ring Modulator and a quadrature oscillator to
create on modularly...

		ken,
well, 2 balanced mod circuits (or is it one, i can`t recall
at the moment for
sure, oops, :^( ), some 90 degree phase shift networks,
assorted summers and
a carrier oscillator. i recall that electronotes had one
designed quite a few
years ago. using that as a starting point should be
feasible. especially with
the analog devices ic`s for ring modulators. much better
than 595`s or simple
		ota circuits.
		best,

There's no big logo on the Frequency shifter. Were you talking about
the logo on the Expressionist 2 proto?

Hey Tony, when do we get to hear that thing anyway? How is the
project going?

It's going very slowly. As many of you know (well, all of you after this
email) I'm designing the Midiman SurfaceOne and I'm working A LOT trying to
get that finished. As a consequence, all my other tasks are getting pushed
back.

One of them is the Frequency shifter. I get about 1 day a week to work on
it. I think it will still be out sometime next month (I hope) As soon as
there is more to show, I will. We are going to change the local oscillator
to a microcontroller and possibly add shift through zero. When it's working,
you'll find out about it. :)

RE: [motm] UEG (Was RE: Frequency Shifter)

2002-04-13 by Tony Karavidas

One more thing, I did get the LOOP ONLY mode of the UEG to output a trigger
pulse on either the start of each stage or just the first stage within a
loop. It's pretty cool. When in LOOPONLY mode, the second switch controls
the behaviour of the TRIG OUT jack. If it is set to "STEP" a trigger comes
at every stage. If it is set to "FINISH LOOP" a trigger comes at the
end/beginning of the loop.

If and when people want it, I will update anyone for free, but you have to
cover the shipping both ways. I might do another

If any of you have the Atmel AVR programming dongle you could do it
yourself. Just let me know. (It would save you shipping)

Nope, that's still the old one.

It looks like Tony may have a new graphic up for the
Frequency Shifter (I can't remember for sure).

Frequency Shifter

Tony--

How is the progress on the Frequency Shifter going? Does it still look
like it will be done by May 2003?

Thanks!
