Since many people want to stick to a 1u panel, yet there are a couple of
features that need just a liiiiiiiiitle more panel space to wedge in, why
don't we abandon rectangular panels altogether and go with a kind of
"Tetris" modular panel scheme. That way you can have a 1u panel with a
little tab puzzling off to one side for that extra jack. It would make
assembling a modular even more fun, because now you're playing Tetris while
you build!

If anyone takes that seriously for even a moment, coffee's on me this
morning.

i'd love this - if only it were practical
though if anyone ever started throwing my modules around i'd punch them
saying that - you're all welcome to throw any mishapen modules you have in
my direction...
