I agree that CLIP is NOT the right label. LEVEL is more correct. But I'm worried about all that wiring again. I could sacrifice 1 CV input and just have 2: 1V/O and the fancy - to + large sweep one. I think 3 audio inputs are groovy. Paul S.

Me, too. Also note this kit will have newer Bourns pots (the blue type in the ADSR) that have lugs to solder to as opposed to pins, for pots on the "left column". Pots on the pcb are Spectrol as usual. I must say this is a wicked mama of a filter. I'm not going to push it as a ******KORG MS-20 CLONE ******** so Japan won't nuke me. Rather, as Larry and other owners will say, the crappy VCA with the funky bass-boost is also part of the MS-20 "sound". But I think the MOTM version will keep you folks up late. I don't see a lot of value myself in a "level" LED. Certainly not worth sacraficing other useful features. As always, opinions will differ and mileage will vary. Larry ----------

No! Nein! Nyet! I love blinky lights, and am perfectly willing to do the extra wiring, but NEVER sacrifice an additional attenuated CV input as the price of the LED. I'll have velocity and an envelope hooked up most of the time, and both need to be attenuated! 3 attenuated audio inputs are indeed groovy! The standard Emu only has 2 attenuated and 1 full level. Way to go! Dave Bradley Principal Software Engineer Engineering Animation, Inc. daveb@...

Hi Paul, everybody, It seems there is general agreement on the idea of not losing either an input or an attenuator for the LED. But in case you do put it in ALA Dave's pic, maybe you can tell us if the filter sounds good when overdriven (use a continuous level indicator), or bad (use a clip blinking LED). JB

OK OK I'll keep it. Don't complain about: a) price too high b) lots of wires CLIP is not the right word, it's really LEVEL.
