Missing Larry Hendry

Missing Larry Hendry

2013-05-28 by Aardvark

Hello all,

We spent this Memorial Day weekend down in Indianapolis not far from where Larry lived. I spent a good part of the day remembering what a great guy Larry was and how much he helped me build my modular by answering all my silly questions. My 30+ module MOTM would not be what it is today if it wasn't for Larry. I'm also proud to own the JLH 822 and JLH 831 modules. Thank you Larry for all your contributions, RIP.

Larry was wonderful fellow. Generous, kind and smart.
It is a good thing to remember him.

I will remember his name.

Hi Al,
I really appreciate your post.
The world of synth and electronics is what keeps me sane, but I can honestly say that it has never meant so much to me as it did when I could share it with Larry. Just as you shared, he kept me going when I was just a noob, and he was always kind and patient - never any sign of ego or criticism.
Ten years ago I had the privilege of attending winter NAMM in Anaheim, thanks to Paul Schreiber. NAMM was unbelievable, but the high point of this experience, without exaggeration, was meeting Larry Hendry in person.
