A farewell to bliss.

A farewell to bliss.

2011-04-28 by adambaileynow

Farewell Modular synthesizer!

Your assemblage strewn asunder.
Echoes of Moog, Eno, Radigue,... Xenakis!

and dearest Wendy.

Your quavering dulcet tones took me to inner,
and outer spaces.

Deeper than the Detroit abyss.

Said it was my dream since I was but seven years from the womb.

We felt chosen to tame you.

Christened by fiery chariots.

Blessed by the rusted steamrollers upon Mannheim.

Icy play-fields:
rinks of glass and flame.

Regret that I wanted to possess you so,
fully.

No man can truly possess a beautiful and wild entity as thine self!

That I now know.

Too soon have I lost you.

The chasm in my heart is unknowable to the uninitiated.

A bleak mystery of bereavement, solitude, and acridine tears.

I weep alone.

Someday again I swear to lay eager hand upon your metle shores!

Gentle, apt fingertips will adore your lines as Apollo would have
Daphne's,
before the beckoning river,
and the sorrowful refrain of the rustling Laurel tree.

I am undone.

Wow, beautifully written although seriously tragic! What happened?
