Getting back in the groove

Getting back in the groove

2010-09-07 by Paul Schreiber

First week of the 'real job' jitters are over. I can find the restrooms and
print on the printer :) I filled out a "time sheet" and hopefully will get
paid sometime in the future. I can park in the garage and not get (too) lost
(there are 6 buildings, all identical with no signs).

a) TI has decided to obsolete the DIP version of the TLE2072CP op amp used
in the MOTM-101. The OP-275GPZ will work fine in it's place.

b) Early reports state the new rails are OK. That's a relief! It costs $594
to ship 100pcs. But they are *still cheaper* (not by much) than the last
supplier in the US + UPS ground shipping. The new supplier ships 2X faster
as a bonus.

c) I have not been able to ship much the last 3 weeks. But 7 happy emails
due this week. Yes, the RR E350s are languishing over there in a box. Yes,
there are a few repairs left to get out. But the MOTM activity will start
ramping back up over the next 2 weeks.

Thanks to all that expressed concerns/encouragement about the new job. It's
been 18 years since I've had a badge/commmuted to work/sat in a cube/felt
like Dilbert. I've had to readjust both my sleeping and eating schedule
(with the added bonus of my wife also started her new nursing job the same
day). I'll be back to my old ways shortly :)
