A friend who is tinkering with my modular asked me a question, I thought I'd ask here.

Let's say an MOTM module is rated at 25ma current draw. Is that a "maximum" or an averageā€¦? He's wondering if the modules pull any significant current if they are not patched into the audio chain. I had never thought of it that way before... does it matter?

That is the MAX. The typical is 80% of that.
No significant current draw due to patching *except* the MOTM-730, which is 4ma per patched output off the +5V *only*.
