First 730 sample

First 730 sample

2009-03-09 by jneilnyc

I was messing around with my new 730 yesterday and ended up with a noisy little thing I put up here:

http://www.jneil.com/motm/Industrial_Swamp.mp3

The 730 is being driven off of the trigger out of a TR909, which along with a squishy drum treatment (which you hear at the beginning) is the only non-MOTM thing in the mix. Once I start the 909, I'm not playing or touching anything.

Various divisor outs on the 730 are hitting a 700 router and switching between 4 detuned 300s which are cross-modulating one another and also being modulated by the 730. The resulting discords pick up some lag from a pair of 820s, and then hit a 440 filter (and occasionally a 120 or a 490 as well). The output is routed through an Oakley envelope generator, which is being being triggered by yet another 730 divisor out.

It's rude and it's crude, bug music for giant metal bugs.

Enjoy!

Cables, bad contacts

2013-08-10 by Miguel Mendoza

Hello list, I have seen this issue some time ago here. I have about 60 nice Larry's cables (I got them just some days before he passed away RIP). Now they are failing because the metal cover is touching the contacts, it seems that the plastic inside is not isolating properly. I tried to fix some with tape but it's not a good solution.

Any of you who had this problem, did you find a good way to fix it?

Thanks!

Miguel.
