while we're talking about the mailing list itself, may i suggest that significant attachments, like this MS Word doc that i still have not seen, be placed in the Files section of onelist: go to http://www.onelist.com/files/motm/ and click Upload File. currently there are no files there. please wait for larry hendry to reply to this before taking it as official (larry.....your cue!) mark s

Mark and others, Paul sent out a note yesterday I think that he wanted to be certain that the "list" was not circulated outside the confines of motm@onelist.com If that particular area is accessible ONLY to list members, it seems reasonable that it would be OK with Paul. However, he made a couple of good points and I would like to wait for his nod on this one. Also, I had at least three (apparently the only 3 people in the world without MS Word <snicker>) ask for text files. So, I will maintain the list in text format. The list is supposed to be a single point resource for new people coming to motm@onelist (and old farts like me that cannot remember) to know what modules have been discussed, partially planned, dreamed about, etc. without having to search a year's worth or archives. If I had to search that list I would get tired of trying to sift all the good data from between the Stooge comments. Plus, I would like to start putting a few "wish list" comments in the ""we wish we had" modules section. I love that kind of idea sharing. And, I think it might be helpful to Paul come features / vs. price decision time. After all, we don't want a few loud mouths like me and Barlow being the only ones getting their comment heard. The majority might NOT want that $15 LED (I need more). The list was NOT supposed to be a "NEWS, here's what's coming" list. Paul can make his own announcements public at his site. I agree with Paul. Although nothing was contained on the list that has not been passed around on this list by Paul and others, once put in a list format, it somehow seems more official. So, we need to be careful not to hold the list up as evidence of things to come. However, when Paul does come out and actually say, "this is expected on xx-xx date or I will be doing that next and expect it to be released on xx-xx date, I do plan to update the list so that we can share realistic expectations. Or when someone says, you know a "such-and-such" would be cool, I can tack it on the bottom of the "dreaming about" section. Hell it's up to you guys. Tell me to shut up if you like. You would not be the first, and my feelings are not easily bruised. <grin> Paul, Can the list be posted on the motm onelist area that Mark suggested? I promise to keep it up-to-date with list comments and change delivery dates as instructed by you when they... errrr... slip ever so slightly.
