Got my Oakley MOTM modules

Got my Oakley MOTM modules

2009-02-11 by Koos Fockens

I've received my Oakley MOTM modules, my first ones, and it's also the first, non Synth
Tech branded MOTM format purchase I've made. (sorry Paul :-) )
I bought a ADSR-VCA, mainly for space saving purposes, and a multimix module, from a
little christmas money I had left over, and got them from KRISP1.
A mini, or as I called it, 'micro' review is posted on my blog at
www.motmsynth.blogspot.com

This leaves me with one 2U space left , after which a relocation of the power supply to the
back of the synth is needed to free up an additional 3U, giving me a total of 5U for future
growth.
What to put in there... a 730 perhaps, or will I wait for the Cloud generator, or perhaps the
sequencer that is still in development?....

So far I have:

2x MOTM-300 VCO
1x MOTM-510 Wavewarper
1x MOTM-120 sub mux
1x MOTM-420 filter
1x MOTM-440 filter
1x MOTM-490 filter
3x MOTM-800 ADSR
1x MOTM-190 VCA ring mod
1x MOTM-101 SH/noise
1x MOTM-390 LFO
1x MOTM-910 multiple
1x MOTM-650 midi/cv
1x Oakley ADSR-VCA
1x Oakley Multimix

Suggestions? :-)

Needs 1 more VCO and a MOTM-730. *Everyone* needs a '730 :)

Thinking about adding a MOTM-310 VCO in the future, that would be no'3 , although a cloud generator would also qualify as that (and more) :-)
Anyway, a 310 would be leaving me 4U space, a 730 is very tempting, but don't dare ordering just yet for budgetary reasons....
Getting another S/H module would be fun too, to create these "free running"patches as described in the MOTM-101 manual :-)

Koos,
You have not enough VCA's and EG's for the '730 :) It is better to
wait for the Cloud :)

Sure, everyone needs a MOTM 730... but the days when MOTM was cheapest
modular synth is over :) 21%VAT; 3,5% import tax; shipping overseas...
not for everyone.

Girts,
waiting for the '730 "FS" posts ... or the next MOTM Big Sale?:)
