MOTM-730 patch contest

MOTM-730 patch contest

2009-02-07 by Paul Schreiber

a) if you haven't already, order a MOTM-730 VC Pulse Divider!

b) patch it up into your (mostly...ahem....) MOTM modular

c) record audio and/or video.

d) send it to me by March 20th. Would like some sort of patch diagram/text
description so other folks can try it out.

e) Winner (I get to pick) gets $200. So, your MOTM-730 is at a 50% discount
:) Second place gets $100.
Looking mostly for unique/clever applications of all the module's features:
variable dividing, stepped CV out, etc.

I have *lots* of these I can ship rather quickly, the joys of robotic SMT
assembly and pcb-mounted jacks/switches/pots.
I expect all of these currently on order to ship by next Saturday.

Cool, sounds like fun! :-)

Any 'legal' restrictions like . . can it not be published anywhere else,
will Synth tech own the rights, if a video REALLY sucks and we put it on the
web somewhere will we get FINED $200??? ;-)

No restrictions per se. I will use the 2 winners on the website. If the
video
is really bad I'll just post the audio :)

Oh come on, Paul. Really bad is just as good if not better than really
good. I give you exhibit A (not entirely off topic considering there's a
synthesizer being 'played' on stage):

This video still has me rolling after all these years. Double bonus when
the striped shirt guy crosses the camera's path at 1:45.

Wow, that's like one of those 'shreds' videos, only it isn't!

For those who haven't seen them, there are humorous 'shreds' videos on
YouTube. Most of them are instrumental and the entire audio track has been
replaced with audio that looks like it belongs with the video . . .but they
are performing very ineptly! ;-) I think the best done and funniest one is
the KISS Shreds one because there are nonsensical lyrics made up to go along
with it and . . .it never fails to make me laugh! I've seen it over 20
times now so the last couple times I didn't get tears in my eyes but I was
grinning the whole time! :-)
