Does anyone have a simple but effective switch debounce circuit to use
to derive a nice trigger for an MOTM system?

Simplest way is to use a cap and resistor, here are several references:

If you want to get fancier, here's what I use in my synth:

Thanks Scott!

Paul - What circuit do you use for the gate switch on the motm-1800?

I just programmed up an inexpensive AVR processor with debounce and a
one-shot to create a gate and trigger from two switches. Schematics
and source code is on the page.
