Replacement for LS3954A?

Replacement for LS3954A?

2008-10-24 by thebeautyofdecay

Hi,

I'm (finally) going to build a MOTM based modular.
At the moment I'm collecting information where to buy the components.
Most of them are not a problem, except for the LS3954A low noise low
drift monolithic dual n-channel jfet (produced by Linear Technology)
which is used in the MOMT-300 ultraVCO.

I cannot seem to find a source for this part anywhere (I checked most
online suppliers like RS, Farnell, Mouser, Newark, Digikey and some
local shops). Funny thing is that even on the Linear Technology
website there is no information about this part...

I think a replacement is the LS841 but this part is also not available
anywhere.

Does anybody know a source for the LS3954A? Or a good replacement part?

Thanks,

Andre.

It's from Linear Systems, not Linear Technology. See <http://www.linearsystems.com/datasheets/LS3954-8.pdf

Kind regards,

Hi Stephen and Ben,

I know Paul sells the extra parts kit but I will use that when all
else fails ;)

And you're absolutely right Ben. My mistake about Linear Systems...
I did find the datasheet but was so focused on the specs I didn't
notice that I was looking at the wrong website for more info.

Thanks for the pointers, I will continue my search.
I just ordered the PCBs so I still have some time to find it.

Best regards,

Andre.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
